Abductive Logic Programming - What is the difference between abductive logic and inductive logic?

The primary distinction between inductive and abductive logic lies in the relationship between the premises and the conclusion. In inductive reasoning, the evidence provided within the premises supports the conclusion. However, in abductive reasoning, the conclusion serves to make sense of the evidence found in the premises. Essentially, in inductive reasoning, the premises elucidate the conclusion, whereas in abductive reasoning, the conclusion clarifies the premises.
