Associative Memory - What is the rarest type of memory?

An unusual skill known as hyperthymesia, or highly superior autobiographical memory (HSAM), allows a person to recall almost every aspect of their prior events with remarkable clarity. Biological, genetic, and psychological variables are all being considered as potential causes of HSAM, but no one knows for sure. At this time, hyperthymesia cannot be officially diagnosed.
