Binary Tree - What is a binary tree in biology?

In biology, a binary phylogenetic network is a directed acyclic graph with a single root. All nodes in this graph are either tree nodes or hybrid nodes. The leaf set of this graph is bijectively labelled by the set X, and each leaf is implicitly identified with its label.
