Categorization - What are the three types of categorization?

There are three levels of categorization, as shown in figure 1: basic, superordinate, and subordinate. When speaking, basic level terms are typically employed more than superordinate or subordinate ones. This is due to the fact that basic terminology are usually used when speaking, unless there is a particular communication need.
