General Data Protection Regulation - What are the GDPR standards?

The GDPR sets out seven fundamental principles: lawfulness, fairness and transparency; purpose limitation; data minimisation; accuracy; storage limitation; integrity and confidentiality (security); and accountability. Among these, the principle of accountability is a novel addition to data protection regulations.
