Intrinsic Motivation - What is intrinsic vs extrinsic motivation?

Both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation originate from inside, yet extrinsic motivation is influenced by things outside of oneself. When you do something just because you love it and feel good about yourself while doing it, you are acting from an intrinsic motivational standpoint. Those who are driven by rewards from outside sources are said to be extrinsically motivated.
