Labelled Data - What is an example of labeling?

To describe a someone based on their actions is to label them. Someone is referred to as "a criminal" when they violate a significant law, for instance. The term "athlete" is used to describe the competitors in the Olympic Games. An "author" is also someone who puts pen to paper.
