Latent Space - What is latent space in stable diffusion?

A latent space that is four times smaller than the picture pixel space (4x64x64) is used in the Stable Diffusion model. The latent space is where all the diffusions, both forward and reverse, take place. Hence, it produces a latent noise tensor—a random vector in latent space—during training instead of a noisy picture.
