Neuromorphic Engineering - Who invented neuromorphic engineering?

The concept of neuromorphic engineering was initially proposed by Carver Mead in the late 1980s. Initially, it was mostly used to describe hybrid digital/analogue computer systems that were inspired by the human brain. However, the field has grown to encompass a wider range of brain-inspired computers as opportunities for large-scale funding have increased.
