N-Shot Learning - What is few-shot and zero-shot classification?

A machine learning model may be trained to predict new classes with sparse labeled data using methods such as zero-shot learning, few-shot learning, and one-shot learning. The amount of labelled data available for new classes and the nature of the problem dictate the approach selected.
