Oss - When did the OSS become CIA?

The National Security Act of 1947 established the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from the Central Intelligence Group (CIG). Donovan is still regarded as the "founding father" of the CIA, even though the Agency did not come into being until two years after the OSS did.
