Recall - Is remembering and recalling the same thing?

When discussing memory, the words "remember" and "recall" signify different things. 'Remember' means to save something in your memory for later use, while'recall' means to get that information back. 'Recall the flowers for the wedding' would be inappropriate, while 'Don't forget the flowers for the wedding' would be just OK.
