Statistical Distribution - Should I use t-distribution or normal distribution?

If the sample size is small (n<30) and the population standard deviation (σ) is not known, then the t-distribution table should be used. Typically, the t-distribution should be used when ϝ is not known. It is recommended to use the normal distribution if σ is known.
