Tuning - How to tune high E to D?

Playing the D string (the third string) and adjusting the tuning pegs until the tones sound similar will bring your high and low E strings down to D. Remember that the D on the first string will be an octave lower than the third string, and that the D on the fourth string will be an octave lower than the sixth string.
