Co-authoring documents - How do you coauthor a Word document?

To coauthor a Word document, choose 'Edit Document' and then 'Edit in Browser.' If other individuals are also working on the document, you'll be able to see their activity and the modifications they're making in real-time, a feature known as coauthoring or real-time collaboration. If you prefer to work in your Word application, you can switch from 'Editing' to 'Open in Desktop App' at the top of the window.
