The CMIS-specified document and folder object-types, together with any other CMIS capabilities provided by SharePoint Server, are stored in a CMIS repository. In addition, it has CMIS query capabilities that use a syntax similar to SQL and CMIS versioning capabilities that mimic SharePoint Server's native versioning features.
