An LCMS is a hybrid of a CMS and an LMS. It functions similarly to an LMS in that it stores, organizes, and monitors content. However, like a CMS, it also enables content creation. The distinguishing factor is that the content created on an LCMS is specifically designed for learning purposes, unlike a CMS.
