Media Objects - What are media and objects used in websites?

Photographs, GIFs, audio/video files, and any other type of media file can be used as media objects on webpages. Media objects, as they pertain to HTML code, are files or apps that do not include HTML. The part of an HTML code or document that really holds the media is called the media object.
