Available To Promise - What is available-to-promise in MPS?

An estimation that uses the ATP value in the primary schedule is Discrete ATP, which is also called Incremental Available-To-Promise. In the first period, the ATP is calculated by adding the beginning inventory and the MPS quantity, then subtracting the backlog for all periods until the item is master scheduled again.
