Batch Picking - What is the difference between batch picking and discrete picking?

Overcoming the primary limitation of the straightforward pick-to-order technique, batch picking improves picking efficiency by handling several orders concurrently. In contrast, a picker doing discrete order picking must go around the whole pick face for only one order before bringing it back to the packing station.
