Blind Shipment - Why do brokers do blind shipments?

Supply chain management is the main reason and advantage why brokers use blind shipments. It lets the broker hide the shipper's address and show the client their own company's address instead. Furthermore, the shipper remains in the dark regarding the customer's name and the location of shipment.
