Bol - What is the meaning of BOL?

The carrier provides the shipper with a document called a Bill of Lading (BOL), which is also called a B/L or BoL. It is a means of transferring ownership of items and describes the shipment in full. It is the responsibility of the BOL to guarantee payment to exporters and delivery of ordered items to importers.
