Case-Based Reasoning - What is a case reasoning?

What we call "case reasoning" is really the process by which a court decides on a ruling by applying general rules of law to the unique circumstances of each case. The court uses syllogism to apply laws and policy considerations to explain why the conclusion is good for society to back up its decision.
