Connectionism - What is an example of connectionism in the classroom?

Connectionism in a classroom setting can be seen when a teacher rewards a student for completing homework, thereby creating a positive association between the task and the reward. Conversely, if a teacher consistently punishes a student, it is likely the student will develop a negative association with the task and may be less inclined to complete it.
