Question

Controllability - What is the difference between stability and controllability?

Answer

If the state of a linear system does not change over time, we say that it is stable. When the input can be constructed to move the system from any starting state to any ending state, we say that it is controllable. In contrast, we say that a system is observable if and only if we can use its outputs to determine its state.
