False Negative - What is difference between false positive and false negative?
Answer
A type I mistake or false positive occurs when a scientist incorrectly concludes that something is true when in fact it is not. "False alarm" is the technical term for a good result that is not grounded in reality. Typ II errors include false negatives, which occur when something is genuinely true but is incorrectly labeled as wrong.
