Generative Adversarial Network - What is the difference between GPT and GAN?

Machine learning models such as Generative Pretrained Transformers (GPTs) do not rely on the adversarial interaction between a discriminator and a generator, as is observed in GANs. Alternatively, GPTs are trained to perform a certain activity so that they can handle similar tasks in the future.
