Question

2D Barcode - What is a 2D barcode?

Answer

A 2D, or two-dimensional, barcode is a type of barcode that holds information in both a horizontal and vertical format. This differs from traditional barcodes which only contain vertical black and white lines and store less data. Due to their structure, 2D barcodes can hold a significantly larger amount of data and have a different physical appearance compared to a linear, or 1D, barcode.
