Sales quotes are essential for sending proposals to customers, agreeing on prices, and establishing terms for orders. Accessing Sales Quotes

To access sales quotes, follow these steps:

  1. Identify "Sales" in the main header and hover over it to reveal the dropdown menu.
  2. Click on "Quotes" to land on the sales quotes table.

The sales quotes table includes columns for the quote number, account name, status, validity, quote total, total including tax, salesperson, creation date, creator, and expected delivery date.

Creating a Sales Quote

To create a sales quote:

  1. Click the "Create Quote" button at the top of the table.
  2. Fill in the sales quote basics.
  3. Add quote items, which are directly linked to your items listed in your Items app.
  4. Specify the shipping method. Shipping methods can be controlled in your shipping methods table.
  5. Define the quote terms, including the order date, payment due date, quote expiry date, and customer purchase order.
  6. Attribute a salesperson and sales channel to the quote.
  7. Associate payment terms and currency to the quote.

When you're satisfied with the quote, click "Create Quote."

Managing Sales Quotes

After creating a quote, you'll have several management options:

  • View the quote: See the quote details and make any necessary changes.
  • Trigger an email: Send a link to the customer's account with the quote attached. Your customer will receive a public PDF view of the quote with options to accept or decline.
  • Receive notifications: You'll be notified when a customer takes action on a quote, such as accepting or declining.

To edit a quote, hover over it in the table, click the options button, and select "Edit."

Additional Sales Quote Actions

The sales quotes table allows you to perform several additional actions:

  • Approve a quote: Confirm the quote's accuracy before sending it to the customer.
  • Send an email: Share the quote with your customer via email.
  • Reject a quote: Decline a quote, typically after discussing with your customer.
  • Generate a sales order manually: Create a sales order based on the quote details.
