Configuring project navigation

Configuring Project Navigation in Naologic Builder

Learn how to effectively organize your project's navigation. This guide will walk you through the process of creating header items, dropdowns, and external links to guide users through your application.

Step-by-Step Guide: Configuring Project Navigation

  1. Navigate to Your Desired Project Canvas:
Locate the "Add" button: On the left side of the canvas, you'll find a "+" button. Click this to open a modal window.

  2. Access Project Navigation Settings:
Within the modal window, you'll see a menu on the left side. You can find your project navigation settings under Project settings > Navigation.

  3. Set the Landing Page:
Under Default Screen, you'll find the Landing Page of your project. This is the page that users will see when they first access the workspace. It's typically set to the Dashboard Viewer, but you can choose any app within your project to serve as the landing page.

  4. Configure Desktop Top Navigation:
Under Desktop top navigation, you will have the option to select one of three options:

    • Item: Create a standalone button that links directly to a specific app within your project.
    • Dropdown: Create a dropdown menu that allows you to bundle multiple apps together under a single header. Users can expand the dropdown to access the individual apps.
Dropdowns require you to select an app icon and an app description to represent the items within the dropdown.
    • External: Create a button that links to an external website or page outside of your project.

By following these steps and customizing your navigation elements, you can create a clear and user-friendly interface for your Naologic project. Effective navigation helps users find the information and features they need quickly and easily, improving overall user experience.
