Create Data Entry Action
Quickly add new entries to your data documents through a streamlined action.
The Create Data Entry Action in Naologic allows users to add new entries to a specified data document directly within the app, making it easy to initiate new records without navigating away from the current interface.
Installing the Create Data Entry Action
Navigate to the Desired Project
From the Builder Overview, locate and select the project where you want to add the action.Access the Individual App Canvas
Within the selected project, hover over the desired app and click Access App Flow to open the app where you want to add the action.Open Add Elements
Click the "+" button on the left side of the app canvas to open the Add Elements menu. Select Actions under User Interface.Search for Create Data Entry Action
Go to User Interface > Actions and use the search bar to find Create Data Entry.Drag and Drop to Install
Drag the action onto the app canvas to install it within your project.
Setting Up the Create Data Entry Action
- Configure Action Settings
- After installing, hover over the action and click Edit to access the configuration panel.
- Under Action Settings, select the Data Document where new entries will be stored. This ensures the action is linked to the appropriate data document, allowing users to create entries directly within the specified database.
