Installing the Full-Screen Modal for Editing Existing Data Entries

1. Navigate to the Desired Project
   From the Builder Overview, locate and select the project where you want to add the modal.

2. Access the Individual App Canvas
   Within the selected project, hover over the desired app and click Access App Flow to open the app where you want to add the modal.

3. Open Add Elements
   Click the "+" button on the left side of the app canvas to open the Add Elements menu.

4. Search for Full-Screen Modal for Editing Existing Data Entries
   Use the search bar to find Full-Screen Modal for Editing Existing Data Entries or Full-Screen Modal for Editing Existing Data Entries (with tab switcher).

5. Drag and Drop to Install
   Drag the modal onto the app canvas to add it to your project.

1. Connect to a Data Document

   • After installation, hover over the modal and click Edit.
   • In the Settings tab, select the Data Document that stores the existing entries you want to edit. This ensures the modal can retrieve and modify data from the specified document.

2. Configure in Element Studio

   • Hover over the modal and click Access Element Studio.
   • Within Element Studio, add and arrange form elements such as input fields, dropdowns, or date pickers. Organize these elements according to the fields available in each entry, allowing users to edit the data as needed.

Difference Between Standard and Tab Switcher Versions

• Single-Tab Modal:
  The standard Full-Screen Modal for Editing Existing Data Entries displays all form elements for editing in a single view, which is ideal for simpler entries.

• Tab Switcher Modal:
  The Full-Screen Modal with Tab Switcher divides the data into multiple customizable tabs, making it easier to organize complex entries. Each tab can hold specific data fields and elements, so users can update different sections (e.g., “General Information,” “Order Details”) separately.
