Update Status of Data Entry
Change the status of data entries directly within the platform.
The Update Status of Data Entry action in Naologic is used to change the status of existing data entries.
Installing the Update Status of Data Entry Action
Navigate to the Desired Project
From the Builder Overview, locate and select the project where you want to add this action.Access the Individual App Canvas
Within the selected project, hover over the desired app and click Access App Flow.Open Add Elements
Click the “+” button on the left side of the app canvas to open the Add Elements menu. Under User Interface, select Actions.Search for Update Status of Data Entry
Use the search bar to find Update Status of Data Entry.Drag and Drop to Install
Drag and drop the action onto the app canvas screen to add it to your project.
Setting Up the Update Status of Data Entry Action
To configure the Update Status of Data Entry action:
Ensure Statuses Are Created
Before setting up the action, make sure the Data Document you want to connect to has predefined statuses that can be updated (e.g., "New," "In Progress," "Completed").Edit the Action
After installing the action, click Edit on the element to open the configuration panel.Select Compatible Data Document
Under "Data documents that are compatible and allowed to complete the action are," choose the Data Document where the statuses have been set up. This will connect the action to the appropriate data entries within the app.Configure Status Changes
Under "Update the status of data entry," specify the status change the action should perform. For example, if a document’s current status is "New," set it to "In Progress." Define both the initial and the target statuses to complete the setup.
