Search Data Entries Action

Create a search function within your app to help users find relevant data quickly.

The Search Data Entries action in Naologic enables users to search through a database or dataset by inputting specific search terms. This action is ideal for applications where users need to locate specific records, enhancing navigation and improving the user experience by making it easier to find relevant information.

Installation for Search Data Entries

  1. Navigate to the Desired Project
    From the Builder Overview, locate and select the project where you want to add the search action.

  2. Access the Individual App Canvas
    Within the selected project, hover over the desired app and click Access App Flow to open the app where you want to add the action.

  3. Open Add Elements
    Click the "+" button on the left side of the app canvas to open the Add Elements menu.

  4. Search for Search Data Entries Action
    Go to User Interface > Actions and use the search bar to find Search Data Entries.

  5. Drag and Drop to Install
    Drag the action onto the app canvas to install it within your project.

Setup for Search Data Entries

  1. Configure Action Settings
    • After installation, hover over the action and click Edit to access the configuration panel.
    • In Action Settings, select the Data Document you want to search within. This links the action to the appropriate dataset, allowing users to search entries within this document.

The Search Data Entries action enhances user interaction within your app by providing a straightforward way to locate specific records. By setting up the action with the appropriate data document, users can search through entries easily, ensuring faster navigation and a more efficient experience.
