Forward Deployed Builder

Role Overview

About the role

Naologic is developing a faster way of building ERPs from the ground up. With our AI-powered code generation, we allow for zero-implementation time, customizing software to any industry in minutes.

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Builder—our unique spin on the Forward Deployed Engineer. You will be the technical co-founder for our customers, bridging the gap between their business needs and our technology. You will own the "Contract to Production" lifecycle, embedding yourself with customers post-sale to architect, build, and deploy bespoke ERP solutions using the Naologic platform.

This is a high-impact, hybrid role. You must be a strong developer capable of writing production-grade code, a business analyst capable of deconstructing complex workflows, and a project manager capable of driving a deployment to the finish line.

Responsibilities

  • Own the "Contract to Production" Lifecycle: Take full ownership of customer accounts immediately after the sale. You will drive the project from requirement gathering to final production deployment, ensuring value is delivered quickly.
  • Architect & Build Custom Solutions: Use the Naologic platform (and direct coding in TypeScript/Node.js where necessary) to build features, workflows, and integrations that solve specific customer business problems.
  • Deep Requirement Collection: Work directly with customer stakeholders—from C-suite executives to warehouse managers—to deeply understand their business processes and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Create comprehensive feature documentation and technical specs for new customers. Ensure the customer’s technical team is empowered to maintain and grow the solution.
  • Project Management: Manage timelines, scope, and expectations. You are the primary point of contact for the customer and responsible for keeping the deployment on track.
  • Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the customer. Work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to channel field insights back into the core platform, helping shape the future of our software.
  • Integrations: Design and implement data exchanges between Naologic and the customer’s existing legacy systems (SQL databases, third-party APIs, on-premise infrastructure).
  • Abstract Reasoning: This role requires the ability to think in abstract patterns, to understand current system capabilities and limitations and to calibrate customer requirements and inputs into viable implementable functionality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong development experience with TypeScript and Node.js. You should be comfortable reading and writing code to troubleshoot issues or extend platform functionality.
  • ERP & Business Process Expertise: Deep understanding of how businesses operate. You have experience with ERPs, CRMs, or complex B2B software and understand concepts like supply chain management, accounting workflows, or HR processes.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders. You can handle ambiguity and drive projects to completion without constant supervision.
  • Customer-Facing Experience: Excellent communication skills. You are comfortable leading meetings, managing difficult conversations, and explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Problem Solving: A "builder" mindset. You don't just identify problems; you actively prototype and build solutions.
  • Database Knowledge: Proficiency with database concepts (MongoDB aggregations are a plus) and data modeling.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in a "Forward Deployed Engineer," "Solutions Architect," or "Technical Consultant" role at a high-growth SaaS company or in an ERP company.
  • Knowledge of low-code/no-code platforms and how to extend them.
  • Familiarity with AI engineering (Prompting, RAG) and how to apply it to business workflows.

Benefits

  • Join a fast-growing, innovative team in AI-powered platforms
  • Maintain a strong work-life balance with weekends off and Happy Fridays
  • Grow professionally with exposure to cutting-edge technologies
  • Contribute to impactful projects alongside a talented team
  • Competitive salary based on experience

Interview Process

  • Round 1: 20 min initial interview to assess suitability
  • Round 2: 45-min Initial technical interview
  • Round 3: Take-home test (4-6h)
  • Round 4: 90 min technical panel interview, discussing the assignment in depth with Founding Engineer and both Co-Founders (representing FE, BE, Product and Design)
